R.I.P. Rodney King

According to TMZ, Rodney King’s body was found by his fiancé this morning at the bottom of their pool in their Rialto home in California. He was 47.

King is well known for his 1992 beating by LAPD which sparked the L.A. Riots after the officers responsible were acquitted. Last month, VH1 documented the story’s influence in Hip-Hop.
